Sandy and Gary Lindstrom's fondly remembered Hillman Imp (forget what model
year it was!). We drove this gem around southern France and Spain the summer of 1975.
The first shot shows Sandy preparing the Imp for a ferry ride to Corsica. The second is an example of the roads and vistas we enjoyed near our base in Grenoble. The Hillman Imp was produced by Rootes Group from 1963 to 1976. It was powered by a rear Coventry Climax 874cc all aluminum overhead cam transverse slanted engine. What a joy it was to drive. |
